Description
Pterosaur
Lower Cretaceous
Tegana Formation
Kem Kem Region, Morocco
158mm femur.
Pterosaur bones were thin-walled in life like bird bones so they are poor candidates for fossilization. They tend to be found crushed so any specimen with a decent bone end is a great find. When the pterosaurs of the Kem Kem beds are better-studied, bones like this may be able to be identified to genus.
