Dollocaris is a genus that belongs to a group of extinct arthropods, the Class Thylacocephala, perhaps related to crustaceans. The class dates back to the Silurian and survived all the way to the Late Cretaceous. Like other members of the group, Dollocaris had large compound eyes and may have had unusually good vision in low light conditions. Specimens of this genus are best-preserved at the La Voulte site.
