Huge 100mm wide water strider-like insect on 165mm slab. One of the biggest insects we have ever had. Very unusual.
Chresmodids are an extinct group known from the Cretaceous that are believed to have been similar to modern water striders (pond skaters), hunting on the surface of lakes and ponds.
