Protoceratops is a genus of early ceratopsian known from the Late Cretaceous of central and eastern Asia. It’s of course one of the classic dinosaurs from children’s books especially if you grew up in the 60’s-80’s.
P. andrewsi was named in honor of Roy Chapman Andrews.
