Description
Tarchia sp.
Late Cretaceous
Nemegt Formation
Gobi Desert Mongolia
76mm ankylosaur scute (armor plate)
Tarchia was one of the last and the largest ankylosaurs. It lived during the last five million years of the Cretaceous Period.
Some collectors might have a tooth but this group of metacarpals is a little more of a display piece and certainly for someone wanting something different for their collection especially with that unusually light-colored preservation.
