Abdounia is an extinct genus of shark that lived from the Late Paleocene to Late Eocene of North America, Europe, and North Africa. It included several species across that time. This genus may be closely related to the ancestor of Carcharhinus, a genus that includes numerous modern species (silky, sandbar, copper, Caribbean reef, bull shark, etc.).
