Looks like a mosquito, but it’s not. 0.3 inch fine.

A midge is a type of fly (Order Diptera) even smaller than houseflies and some of them may be the “no-see-ums” we know today that bite like mosquitoes.  They date back to at least the Early Cretaceous.
