Description
Late Triassic
Bull Canyon Formation
Guadalupe County, New Mexico, USA
Very fine little bone. 0.3 inch.
Reptile.
Here’s a tiny thigh bone end of an unidentified reptile. One of the challenges in studying the vertebrates of the Bull Canyon Formation is that a lot of the material is screened from matrix so you get a large quantity of small, partial-complete, isolated teeth and bones. Some of it is identifiable even with most of it being incomplete. Given time and some articulated specimens, the fauna will become better understood.
