Very rare 9mm primate jaw section with 5 excellent teeth

Mammal, Primate.

After the K/T mass extinction, the earliest primates appeared.  They were rather common in the jungles of North America and Europe across the Paleocene and Early Eocene.

Pseudoloris lived at a time when primates were becoming uncommon in North America and Europe as tropical forests were well on their way to being replaced by the open woodlands.  A trend of cooler, drier climates worldwide had started in the Middle Eocene.

Pseudoloris was one of the last undisputed primates of the Family Omomyidae which may have been ancestral to modern tarsiers of southeast Asia.
