Description
Phlyctocystis sp.
Upper Ordovician
Lower Ktaoua Formation
Enormous 520mm (20.4 inch) slab with three of the largest cystoids we have ever seen (250mm, 240mm, 200mm). Consider that these extinct echinoderms typically never get much bigger than 25mm (an inch or so) and this makes these things absolute giants. There are also some small unidentified trilobites preserved on the slab. Easily one of the best displays of these strange echinoderms ever found. The slab is very heavy so inquire about shipping. And by the way, it was prepped by Kaitlyn, the lovely girl holding it!
