Chaneya is a genus of plant that has not been confidently placed in an established family.  It may be related to certain tropical-temperate plants considered weeds in Asia and invasive species on other continents.  This type of fossil has also been referred to as a flower-like winged fruit.

This is a specimen for the collector who likes mysteries.
