Description
Pteranodon sp.
Pterosaur
Late Cretaceous
Niobrara Chalk
Kansas, USA
Huge 1.6 meter (5 feet, 2 inches) wing. Radius and some small carpals are casts, all the rest is real, set into a gorgeous aesthetic display frame.
Pteranodon is the most widely-recognized pterosaur but its fragile remains are actually very rare finds – tough to get even an identifiable bone end.
Here, the lovely Vivacia poses with the wing to provide scale.
Call or email regarding shipping. It is not particularly heavy, but the unusual shape requires special handling.
