Description
Theropod
Lower Cretaceous
Tegana Formation
Kem Kem Region, Morocco
69mm carpal phalanx.
The Kem Kem beds have yielded a treasure trove of isolated theropod bones and teeth. However, what a researcher needs to confidently sort out the fauna are at least some partial skeletons to use as references. Those have proven elusive.
This finger bone could belong to a medium-sized theropod. You see a lot of teeth from the Kem Kem but good bones are uncommon.
