Here is a something that is not often for sale. It’s an actual fossil lizard jaw section. There are small reptile jaws available from the Early Permian but the most ancient lizards didn’t appear until the Early Triassic.
This jaw section is from a relative of modern anoles, the “American chameleon” commonly seen today in Florida. It isn’t actually closely-related to chameleons. It is in the same suborder, Igaunia, as modern iguanas but a different family.
