Description
Late Triassic
Bull Canyon Formation
Guadalupe County
New Mexico, USA
Very fine 0.2 inch tooth.
Reptile, Archosaur.
Once considered an early ornithischian dinosaur based on isolated teeth, Revueltosaurus is now classified as a pseudosuchian archosaur which makes it more closely related to early crocodilians. The reassignment is due to more complete remains, including skeletons, being found.
