Squalicorax is one of the highly successful shark genera of the Cretaceous, appearing in the Albian and surviving to the very end of the Cretaceous.
S. falcatus is a widespread species, known primarily from North America, that lived roughly from the Turonian to Santonian (basically 84 to 94 million years ago). The weird thing with this one is that there may be two distinguishable species within the observed range of variation.
