An “armored worm” is a general term for an ancient animal that may or may not belong to the Phylum Annelida (various worms but not all worms), the term “worm” being quite general itself.
This specimen represents one of the earlier armored worms – certainly one of the oldest on the market. At some point, some hotshot researcher is going to give this a name and you want to have one when the paper gets published.
