Description
Albertella sp.
Middle Cambrian
Jangle Limestone Member, Carrara Formation
Nye County, Nevada, USA
Very good 0.8 inch negative. Some ends of spines missing. Good study specimen of this rare genus.
Albertella is a genus of trilobite that lived during the Middle to Late Cambrian. It has been found at sites in western North America. Collectors like this one because of its long spines. It’s as dangerous-looking as a Middle Cambrian trilobite can get.
This one is great for the kid just getting into fossils and doesn’t want to pay too much for something unusual.
